Final Fantasy VII: On the Way to a Smile – Episode: Denzel S01

After a three-way conflict between the tyrannical electrical company "Shinra", the rebel group "Avalanche", and the deranged Sephiroth, the damaged planet slowly heals its wounds. A small city called "Edge" appears in the ruins of "Midgar". "Rufus", the former president of Shinra's city planning, interviews a young boy named "Denzel" to assess his potential for joining "Rufus' Global Restoration Organization", a group dedicated to recovering and protecting the Earth. Denzel recounts his sorrowful past, including how the consequences of Avalanche's heroic actions led to the destruction of Midgar and the death of everyone he knew. As Denzel reminisces with Rufus, he discovers a new goal for himself.
